Hopewell Music Cooperative North presents an afternoon of new orchestra music

Come hear the Northside’s only orchestra play works of living composers at their last spring concert on Saturday, May 17, 3 p.m. at North United Methodist Church, 4350 Fremont Ave. N. They’ll be covering all the musical bases, from jazz to contemporary music including Olorun and the Orisha written by Dameun Strange, a local composer and Hopewell co-founder. The concert is free and open to the public and will conclude with a reception.

The orchestra is composed of Hopewell students and community members with more than one year’s worth of playing experience; the orchestra accepts new members year-round. If you are interested in joining the orchestra or want to find out more about Hopewell Music visit hopewellmusic.com or call 612-466-0696.

Hopewell Music Cooperative North is a nonprofit music school in North Minneapolis. Their mission is to provide underserved students access to affordable and high quality private lessons, ensembles and courses, as well as safe and vibrant performance opportunities for community members.
