It's a snowy, cold day today. A just right day for staying warm in the office, hunkering down at the computer, and writing a note of thanks to you, the Camden community.
On January 15 Camden Music School celebrates its fourth anniversary thanks in large part to you.
You have come through our doors to hear and learn about music. You've signed up for lessons, come out for concerts and feasted at fundraisers. You've expressed opinions, shared ideas and collaborated with us.
You've raised the roof in song, boogied on down the parkway, and applauded the jazzmobile as it rolled down your alley. You've drummed in the park, hummed in the heart of Victory, and pa-rum-pum-pum-pummed at Holiday on 44th.
You've told a friend or two about us and you may have met a new friend or two here. You've created story after story of musical discovery and have supported scores of students who, without scholarships, would never have had the opportunity to find their important musical gifts.
Thank you, neighbors, friends and my family, students, teachers, parents and musicians, churches, businesses and organizations, writers, designers, printers, accountants, volunteers, community newspapers, scholarship fund contributors, advisors, listeners...the list goes on. It's been exciting and fun and there's so much more to come.
Keep the music in your heart, Camden. And thanks again from the bottom of mine.
