Second Saturdays presents…The Park Avenue Wind Quintet

Camden resident and bassoonist-extraordinaire Justin Windschitl brings the Park Avenue Wind Quintet to the community for a captivating concert on Saturday, July 12, from 3-4 p.m. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 3751 Sheridan.

The afternoon program includes Trois Pieces Breves by Jacques Ibert, Bachianas Brasileiras #6 for Flute and Bassoon by Heiter Villa Lobos, Wind Quintet #2 by Gordon Jacob, and the world premiere of Woodwind Quintet #3 by Lisa Renn Ragsdale.

The Park Avenue Wind Quintet consists of Erica McNamara on flute, Kristen Cooper, oboe, Chelsea Kimpton, clarinet, Ken Lovely, horn and Justin Windschitl on bassoon.

These are remarkable musicians and the concert is sure to delight and inspire. Don’t miss it!  Bring friends, too, for a great afternoon in Camden. A reception follows the concert with cold lemonade, cookies and conversation. The event is free, though donations will be accepted for the CMS Scholarship Fund, a sponsored project of Our Neighborhood Works. Online donations are also accepted at any time at www.camdenmusicschool.com.
