Jeffrey Willkomm brings his original melodies, complex harmonies, intricate guitar-playing, and his delightful sense of humor to the Camden Music School concert series on Saturday, April 8, from 3 to 4 p.m. This will be a delicious hour of guitar and vocal music. The free concert is at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 3751 Sheridan Avenue. Good conversation and refreshments will be served after the concert.
Jeffrey Willkomm is a Camden Music School faculty member. He teaches music theory, guitar and bass. As a professional bassist/guitarist and vocalist, he has over 30 years experience in live performance, theater, arranging and session recording. He recently performed as bassist for the recording and performance of “Gales of November” at the Fitzgerald Theater. Jeffrey is also currently working on his first solo recording, tentatively titled (with tongue firmly in cheek), “The Beatles Ruined my Life.”
Jeffrey has played with various Twin Cities groups including Rue Nouveau, TROVA, Gini Dodds, and Curtiss A., and he appears annually in the John Lennon Tribute shows at First Avenue in Minneapolis. As a side man, he’s played with many 50’s and 60’s touring shows and artists including Bowser from Sha Na Na, Alex Chilton of the Boxtops, Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits and Gene Pitney.
