Shop locally -you - and our community reap the benefits! Which three independent businesses would you miss the most if they disappeared? Shop there - your purchases keep them alive. If half the U.S. employed population spent $50 a month at locally owned independent businesses it would general more than $42.6 billion. For every $100 spent in locally owned businesses $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll and other expenditures. If you spend that at a national chain only $43 stays here - spend online and nothing comes home! The NWMBA held their annual meeting on January 13 at 42nd Ave. Station and encourages all Camden area businesses to come to their next meeting on Tuesday, February 15.

If you know of a new business in our area, or one that has new products or services, send the "scoop" to editor@camdenews.org.
