Want to save gas and time when shopping? Shop locally! Find out about all the resources available in Camden! The NorthWest Minneapolis Business Association will have 5000 new business directories available at the Northside Arts Collective Spring Art Party on June 7 at Folwell Park (and then later at local area businesses). NorthWest Minneapolis has great businesses and great people! You can also go to www.nwmplsbusiness.com for the online version.

Milan Motors on 4535 Lyndale invites you to their Grand Opening on Saturday, June 21, from noon to 5 p.m. There will be hot dogs, burgers, pop, balloons for the kids, and raffles every hour for both parents and children. Everyone is welcome.

Impact Mailing was approved by the Minneapolis Planning Commission to move forward with plans for a 120,000+ square foot new addition to their facility. The move is meant to help with their production. They hope to have their new additions in use by the end of this year.

A new eatery is coming to Lyndale. A new sign in the former Top Diner site announces a new restaurant coming - the Brickhouse BBQ. Watch the Camden News for more details!

Sauced, at 44th and Penn, was recently given raves by food critic Jeremy Iggers. He wrote, “It’s in Minneapolis, it’s the best restaurant for miles around, and odds are you have never even heard of it…Chef John Conklin’s menu ranges from spaghetti squash cakes over a red pepper coulis ($9) and seared scallops with a chamomile glaze ($11) to seared salmon with saffron risotto ($18) and grass-fed beef tenderloin over roasted red potatoes with currant demi-glace…Conklin and his wife Tricia Clark, and partner Susie Gilbertsen took over the restaurant in December…”

The Employment Action Center (EAC) recently celebrated their grand opening at 2143 Lowry. EAC has successfully served North Minneapolis for the last 20 years. President Debbie Atterberry says, “EAC is an important resource for the revitalization of North Minneapolis …and has been providing assistance for job seekers in this community for 20 years and has helped hundreds of people find employment.”

The Northwest Minneapolis Business Association is proud to welcome their newest members: Acorn Mini Storage, Bark Busters Home Dog Training, Mary Kay representative Margarette Nevalainen, Milan’s Motors, Northside Arts Collective, Rachael’s Club 46, Sauced Neighborhood Bistro (formerly Rix), Shingle Creek Neighborhood Association, Strootman Law Office and the Workhouse Theatre Company! Thank you for shopping locally!
