                This isn’t your father’s Mac-n-Cheese. This easy recipe can be served either as a side dish or a main course. It’s hearty, intense flavors are sure to warm you on a cold day. When I first came across this recipe it called for elbow macaroni but I substituted cavatapi. Cavatapi is a ridged, tube pasta with a corkscrew shape that gives macaroni recipes more substance and “tooth.” It’s widely available in most grocery stores.
