Vroom ... vroom ...
National Night Out on August 7 was the city’s annual big block party night. Besides eating and visiting with neighbors, the kids got to ride their bikes down the middle of the street without worrying about oncoming cars. But it was all about fire trucks when the Minneapolis Fire Department truck showed up and let kids “drive” or sit in the back seat of the big engines. This young fireman’s expression says it all for all the kids who enjoyed a chance to sit in the driver’s seat. For more photos see page 12. Photos by Donna Seline.
