School staff makes a difference

I was a student in Montana who was looking for schools in the Minneapolis area. Patrick Henry was one of the top ones according to my research. I looked up their school website and Henry School Liaison Tom Murray's picture and information was the first I saw. I emailed him about my interest in coming to Minneapolis and asked how I would go about coming to this school. He gave me information about the school, the teachers and after-school activities that I might be interested in. He was very open to my questions and answered them as thoroughly as he could. His kindness and understanding of my situation coming into a new setting alone was very different from any other school staff person I had ever known.
My mother is a teacher so I understand what a teacher goes through with their students. It is very remarkable to me how easy it is for him to just care for the students and put them before himself. If he were to lose his position at Henry, I and many students of this school would be lost without his guidance.
