Letters to the Editor - Candidates should take a higher road - Candidates should take a higher road (or take a hike)

Okay, I've had enough of the negative campaigning. I home-school my children and have been encouraging them to follow the political campaigns. However, my 10-year-old daughter has been in tears over the negative, personal attack TV commercials. If a 10-year-old knows better than to believe that this is how political rivals should treat each other, why don't the political rivals and their supporters realize that? I think it's time for some new representatives with higher standards, and who will address the issues. I am "ashamed" to think that these people want "my" vote and this is how they think they can get it. I hope others feel the same and will tell those who wish to represent us in government to improve their standard of behavior.
