Let youth start driving

Being a ninth grade student and my time to start drivers education in a few short months, I feel this process takes too long. The legal driving age should be lowered to 15-years of age. Therefore young adults would be able to start driver’s education and receive a learner’s permit at 14-years old. In part the original process of receiving a permit and license will not change. All former rules and regulations will still apply.
The expectations of young adults today have given them more responsibility. From first hand I can tell that these people are ready to take on driving. Schools can also save money on busing. With more students driving, the less money would be spent on busing. In addition, surrounding states such as Wisconsin have the legal driving age at 15. It has been working for their state, why not ours? The state of Minnesota could find many great outcomes from the passing of this law.
