Students need their sleep

I am a 14-year-old student at Patrick Henry High School. In my civics class we are discussing living in a democratic republic. From this discussion I am wondering about school starting a little bit early. When schools starts too early, students do not get enough sleep because students have to wake up early to get ready to go to school. Some people may think that waking up early is good way to get ready for the day or that you are supposed to go to sleep earlier so that when you wake up you aren’t so tired. The other perspective is that if school starts early then it will also end early. Another opposite perspective is that if students get another extra hour then they may just stay up all night and will still be tired. My solution to this problem is for students to get an extra hour to get ready for school and they will not be late going to school. By students getting an extra hour they have more time to sleep and time to get ready.
